Engenuity Group visits Oxygen Development Headquarters
The Engenuity Group staff visited the 220,000 square foot Oxygen Development facility, headquartered in the Village of Palm Springs. More than 20 Engenuity team members, had lunch nearby and toured the total site area of 14.52 acres. As an outsourcing partner to major global brands, Oxygen is trend setting across all distribution channels, from high-end to mass market. Our staff members were able to see the evolving research and development that is currently underway.
Beginning in 2008 for Phase I, Engenuity provided civil engineering and surveying services for the design and provided services through completion of construction for this cosmetic manufacturer. It also includes a 1.43-acre lake and the preservation of 1.77 acres of pine uplands. The design included piping of 650 feet of a Lake Worth Drainage District canal, 1,847 linear feet of water main, a directional bore across Congress Avenue, rehabilitation of an existing wastewater lift station, and provided surface water storage for an adjacent 16.21-acre shopping center.
Engenuity Group obtained topographic survey information onsite and offsite, prepared a plat, easement sketches and descriptions, construction drawings and specifications, designed the water management system, evaluated the pumps for the existing wastewater pump station, and applied for construction permits. During construction, the survey group performed the construction layout and the engineering group provided oversight of the construction of the site civil work.
In an emerging cosmetic market, Oxygen Development is looking to expand into Phase II of the facility. The Engenuity Group Team has already prepared an updated Topographic Survey of the property and anticipates upcoming design soon for portions of the new facility.
