  • What Is GIS - Placing your data on a map can highlight where your infrastructure network is and how it flows. Reviewing installation dates and maintenance history can highlight areas that need to be inspected before they deteriorate. If there is an interruption in service, GIS can identify the customers that are affected and pinpoint the location of the interruption for the repair crews.

Building locations help public safety personnel identify quickest routes, hazardous material storage, shelter locations, food and medicine distribution centers or possible Homeland Defense targets.

Parcel maps help agencies analyze values and ownership, calculate damage assessment, review zoning and land use or target a specific area for mass mailing.

Road networks help agencies route deliveries, track accidents, manage road paving or analyze traffic patterns for future widening and new exits.

Water boundaries help planners design better storm drainage so farmers can increase production and manage their lands more efficiently.

These are just a few examples of the types of GIS information available that Engenuity Group produces for our clients on a daily basis. Engenuity Group, Inc. can take your existing hard copy or CAD data and produce a spatially accurate dataset that you can view on any GIS system, including Google Earth. Engenuity Group works closely with our clients to help them reveal the hidden patterns and obtain the insight needed to improve their performance and save them money through greater efficiency, better decision making, improved communications, and more accurate geographic record keeping.
